Enjoy 1.2 miles of hiking at the Rio Grande Nature Center at 2901 Candelaria Rd. The center is popular for birding and offers picnic tables and a group picnic shelter. Mariposa Basin Park

The Abuquerque Bio Park is the perfect place to visit with small children. After your picnic you can take the kids to check out the gardens, Bugarium and Heritage Farm to really get a fall feeling.
