Independence Day is not only a federal holiday, but it’s a day to show your patriotic pride. Get together with family and friends to enjoy these local celebrations.
Freedom 4th on Monday, July 4, 2022, from 3-10 p.m. at Balloon Fiesta Park
Freedom 4th is FREE to the public and is a rain or shine event. This family-fun event includes fireworks, food, and local beer in The Cantina plus FREE children’s activities.
Don’t miss national headliner Shenandoah. Country music fans will remember their hits like “Two Dozen Roses”, “Church on Cumberland Road” and “Next to You, Next to Me.” The group will soon embark on their 35th Anniversary Tour.
Visitors can try sweet and savory treats from local food vendors.
Kids will enjoy free fun including inflatable jumpers, climbing walls, free face painting and more! Freedom 4th is FREE to the public and is a rain or shine event.
All parking at Balloon Fiesta Park is $10 per vehicle upon arrival. Cash only.
Beat the traffic with Park & Ride provided by ABQ Ride. Catch a ride from Cottonwood Mall or Coronado Mall. Bus service will start at 3 p.m. and end at 8 p.m. Return trips to the two Park & Ride locations will begin immediately after the fireworks show. The last bus will leave Balloon Fiesta Park at 11 p.m. *Tents and canopies are not allowed on Park & Ride busses.
Bike to the event and stick to the trails. Enjoy the FREE Bike Valet provided by Esperanza Bicycle Education Center.
Take the North Diversion Channel Trail and look for the big yellow Valet signs. See Bike Path Map.
RV Registration
Enjoy the event and then stay in your own RV for an overnight camp out. Reserve your space today!

City of Rio Rancho 4th of July Celebration will be at Campus Park @ City Center in Rio Rancho. Campus Park is located at 2516 King Blvd in Rio Rancho. Enjoy live music by the 44th Army Band and a special concert by the New Mexico Philharmonic at the Sky Room outdoor amphitheater.
After the music performances watch the fireworks show. Visitors only watching the fireworks can park in the parking lots surrounding City Center.
Tailgating is permitted in the parking lot during the firework display. There will be food trucks serving food and drinks at the event. For more details visit 4th of July
