If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to ABQ on the Cheap's RSS feed or email digests. Thanks for visiting!

Visit the Indian Pueblo Cultural Center or SITE Santa Fe on November 5 and 6 and show your Bank of America or Merrill Lynch credit card or debit card as well as a photo ID, and you’ll get one free general admission.

The Museums on Us program gives Bank of America and Merrill Lynch customers free admission to participating arts and cultural venues on the first full weekend of every month. The Indian Pueblo Cultural Center in Albuquerque and SITE Santa Fe in, yes, Santa Fe, are included in the program.

If you’re traveling, there are 150 Museums on Us participating museums, arts and cultural centers nationally in 85 cities – see the full list at the link.

The free admission is only for the card holder, not the whole brood you bring with you, but Indian Pueblo Cultural Center children’s admission aged 5 – 17 is only $3, and it’s free for kids under 5.

According to the press release we received, one in every two households in the country holds a qualifying card. Not at Cheap Central we don’t, despite the fact that Mr Cheap has more cards than a traveling magician. But hopefully it’ll save dollars for some of our ABQ on the Cheap readers!

The Museums on Us program continues on the first full weekend of every month through 2011, so after November 5 and 6, the next one will be December 3 and 4.

Indian Pueblo Cultural Center (2401 12th St. NW) general admission is usually $6 for adults or $4 for New Mexico Residents.

SITE Santa Fe admission is usually $10 for adults, although if you’re not a qualifying card holder for this program, there is free admission on Fridays, and on Saturday mornings from 10 am to noon during the Santa Fe Farmers Market.  SITE Santa Fe is located at 1606 Paseo de Peralta in downtown Santa Fe.
