$10 Tickets to NHCC Play for ABQ on the Cheap Readers

Get $2 off tickets to performances of Miss Margarida’s Way at the National Hispanic Cultural Center in July 2010, in a special offer for Albuquerque on the Cheap readers!

Miss Margarida’s Way has become an international classic play, produced in more than 30 countries. Written by Brazilian playwright Roberto Athayde, it’s described as funny and absurdist, with political undertones (apparently it was closed down by the authorities after its 1973 premier in Brazil.) It also involves audience interaction - Miss Margarida is a schoolteacher and the audience is her “class”! 

Miss Margarida’s Way opens on July 15, 2010, with a run to July 25. This is the first time it’s been performed in Albuquerque, in partnership between Albuquerque’s Camino Real Productions and the National Hispanic Cultural Center. (Then they go on tour to Mexico!)

Regular tickets are $12, but in a special offer for ABQ on the Cheap readers you can get $2 off, bringing each ticket priced down to $10. 

(This is the same discount price paid by seniors, students, and members of the NHCC & Albuquerque Theatre Guild.)

You can only get the $10 tickets when you buy direct from the NHCC box office, not via 3rd party ticket agents.

Save $2 on Tickets: ABQ Trolley Tours

We haven’t tried this out, but it looks like a ton of fun for Albuquerque residents and tourists alike!

First, the deal: book online to receive $2 off tickets for the “Best of ABQ” trolley tour.

ABQ Trolley Co. offers a 66-minute, 18-mile tour of Albuquerque, including Old Town, historic Old Route 66, Nob Hill, downtown, Tingley Beach, and much more. They offer unscripted commentary by a professional tour guide, but the coolest part of the experience is this: you’ll ride on a brand new, custom-built, one-of-a-kind trolley reminiscent of the traditional trolleys of Albuquerque!

Tours will run as follows:

• Tuesday through Thursday, 9:00am and 11:00am
• Friday, 9:00am, 11:00am, 7:00pm (sunset tour)
• Saturday, 9:00am, 11:00am, 1:00pm, 3:00pm
• Sunday, 11:00am, 1:00pm, 3:00pm

All tours originate from Plaza Don Luis in Old Town. What a great activity for those relatives who plan their vacation around your sunny, New Mexico hospitality in order to save on hotel costs. Make them foot the trolley cost!
