Comments Off on $1 Tickets to Family Movies Summer 2013: Starts May 28

Here’s a cheap deal to take the kids to see family films in Cinemark’s Summer Movie Clubhouse!  Tickets are $1 each in this movie madness series over summer 2013. Or pay 50 cents for each movie if you buy a series punch card in advance.  The summer movies start screening on May 28, 2013.

Albuquerque cinemas participating in the national Summer Movie Clubhouse promotion are Cinemark Movies 8 and Cinemark Movies West. They show different movies each week for ten weeks, all rated either G or PG. All tickets – for adults or children – cost $1.

Or see all 10 movies for 50 cents each with a $5 punch card for the entire series at one location. Purchase a punch card in advance from the box office or from cinemark.com, while supplies last. You can only use a card for one person per movie, so you can’t take two people to the same film on one punch card. (If you have two punch cards however, different people/friends can use them each week.  The punch cards aren’t personalized to a name, so as long as only one person is using each punch card for admission each week, you’re good.)

Get a PDF of movie schedules at these links, and also a coupon for $1 off a Movie Snack Pack, or a candy upgrade:

The $1 movies at Cinemark Movies 8 are on Tuesdays at 9:30 am, from May 28 to July 30.
The $1 movies at Cinemark Movies West are on Wednesdays at 10 am, from May 29 to July 31.

Each venue shows the same movie each week, so it just depends which location suits you better, and whether you prefer to go on a Tuesday or a Wednesday.  The program of films is:

  • Tuesday May 28 and Wednesday May 29:  Hotel Transylvania
  • June 4 and 5:  Loony Tunes – Back in Action
  • June 11 and 12:  Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs
  • June 18 and 19:  Horton Hears A Who
  • June 25 and 26:  The Smurfs
  • July 2 and 3:  Ice Age – Continental Drift
  • July 9 and 10:  Dolphin Tale
  • July 16: and 17:  Happy Feet
  • July 23 and 24:  Oceans
  • July 30 and 31: Rio

Two Movie Tickets = $15

January 30, 2013 by

Comments Off on Two Movie Tickets = $15

For $15 get 2 movie tickets worth up to $26, in a limited time deal. UPDATE: This deal posted on January 30 has now sold out.

The offer gives you one Hollywood Movie Money certificate valid for two admissions, to redeem at participating Albuquerque (and national) movie theaters, including Century 14 Downtown, and it’s valid for 3D movies too.  You can buy up to 5 pairs of tickets for yourself, and 5 to give as gifts.

This is a national deal at Tippr, available until Thursday January 31. It looks like the offer runs until 10 pm Mountain Time (midnight Eastern). You’re basically buying a promo code that can be redeemed for two movie tickets up to a total value of $26, including 3-D and IMAX movies, and including opening day, for the participating cinemas.

See View All Terms at the deal page for a list of participating cinemas, searchable by zip code. As far as I can see in a quick search in the Albuquerque area, those include:

  • Century 14 Downtown Albuquerque
  • Century Rio 24 and XD
  • Cinemark Movies 8
  • Cinemark Movies West
  • Premiere Cinema 14 Rio Rancho

Check all the $15 for two movie tickets deal fine print to make sure it’s a good choice for you, and instructions for how to redeem the certificate, available immediately after purchase. The Hollywood Movie Money code you receive must be activated online by February 28, and the certificate redeemed within one month from online code activation.

Obviously the bargain value of this deal will depend on which movie theater you frequent and other factors that influence the regular admission price. If you already get a senior discount or whatever, or if you want to go to a lower-priced matinee, the regular admission could well be cheaper already than $7.50 per person.

But I hope this helps someone save a little on movie tickets… to spend on popcorn instead!

Four Movie Tickets = $24

April 27, 2012 by
Filed under Half Off Deals, Movies

Comments Off on Four Movie Tickets = $24

For $24 get 4 movie tickets worth up to $12 each, in a deal today only. That’s $6 per ticket for Regal and United Artist cinemas.  It could make a good gift, too!

Get the deal via Half Off Depot, available only today, Friday April 27, or until the offer runs out – sometimes these movie ticket deals have a cap on the quantities available.  Once you’ve got the tickets they don’t expire, and can be redeemed at any Regal, United Artist, or Edwards theater nationally. In Albuquerque, the Regal/UA cinemas are:

  • UA Cottonwood
  • UA Winrock
  • UA High Ridge
  • UA Four Hills
  • There are also two locations in Santa Fe.

The four tickets are good for the movie of your choice up to a value of $12 each. The offer excludes 3-D and IMAX movies, and the first 12 days of “selected” new release films, although in that case, you can pay a $1.50 upgrade fee at the box office.

Check all the $24 for four movie tickets promo fine print to make sure it’s a good deal for you, but the main details are:

  • Purchase today, April 27, 2012, or as long as supplies last.
  • They’ll send an email with a code, and you enter that code at the deal redemption website within 30 days, confirming your shipping address.
  • Tickets are mailed to that address in 7-10 days.
  • Once you’ve received them, the tickets do not expire. Use them yourself or give them as gifts.

With all the summer blockbuster movies heading our way, let’s hope this helps save a little on movie tickets… to spend on popcorn instead!

Final Day for Two Movie Tickets = $12

November 20, 2011 by
Filed under Half Off Deals, Movies

Comments Off on Final Day for Two Movie Tickets = $12

This deal has now expired The deal to get 2 movie tickets for $12 has proved very popular, according to feedback! In case you’re a movie-lover who missed it, Sunday November 20 is the last day to buy the offer, so here’s the info again…

For $12 get 2 movie tickets worth up to $12 each. The tickets can be redeemed at Fandango.com through January 14, and are valid at many Albuquerque area (and national) movie theaters. That’s $6 per ticket for cinemas including Century 14 Downtown, UA locations, and others.  There is no limit on how many customers can buy for themselves, and it could make a good gift, too!

Get the deal via Half Off Depot, available to November 20, or until the offer runs out – sometimes these movie ticket deals have a cap on the quantities available. You’re basically buying a promo code that can be redeemed for two movie tickets (excluding 3-D and IMAX movies) for any cinemas with ticketing at Fandango.com through January 14, 2012.

That’s great for seeing holiday movies, especially for adults buying tickets for evening movies at the theaters that usually charge around $10 – $10.50 per ticket. For matinees, or discounted kids’ or seniors’ movie tickets, or if you tend to go to the cheaper theaters such as Cinemark or anywhere that tickets are $6 each or less, it’s not really a bargain.

Otherwise, the tickets are good for the movie of your choice, excluding 3-D and IMAX movies, up to a value of $12 each, and will work for any theaters that sell tickets through Fandango.com, including:

  • Century 14 Downtown Albuquerque
  • UA Cottonwood
  • UA Winrock 6
  • UA High Ridge 8
  • UA Four Hills 10
  • Century Rio 24

Check all the $12 for two movie tickets deal fine print to make sure it’s a good choice for you, but the main details are:

  • Purchase by November 20 or as long as supplies last, and redeem by January 14, 2012
  • Within 48 hours after the close of the sale, customers receive email instructions of how to redeem the deal
  • Both tickets much be redeemed together for the same movie and showtime
  • The maximum value per ticket including convenience fees is $12. As the steepest tickets I’ve seen at participating Albuquerque theaters are $10.50, and convenience fees are $1.25 per ticket, the $12 covers that just fine.

Too many numbers! I have a headache now. But hope this helps someone save a little on movie tickets… to spend on popcorn instead!
