No doubt about it, we New Mexicans love our cars! Roll up for this free auto show on May 19, 2013, and see if you can spot a little red Corvette…

The NM Council of Car Clubs Automobile Show takes place on Sunday May 19 at the Albuquerque Museum of Art and History from 10 am to 3:30 pm, with free admission for spectators.

This is the 29th annual event for the car show, and if you mosey down to the museum in Old Town they’re promising a display in the parking lot of hundreds of antique, classic, exotic, and sports cars. The spotlight this year is on light trucks and Corvettes, and you can also see motorcycles and vintage camper trailers.

Inside the museum they’ll have a toy vehicle, model and auto art exhibition, and music in the Amphitheater is courtesy of Freddie Chavez and Sal Garcia. No New Mexico event is complete without FOOD and this one is no exception!  The Slate at the Museum cafe will be grilling hamburgers and hotdogs, as well as offering other food items on their menu.

If you want to vroom-vroom down there, the Albuquerque Museum of Art and History is on the corner of Mountain Road and 19th Street, in Albuquerque Old Town.
