We know how much you love your fiery foods, but don’t be a hot head. Check out the best way to buy your tickets to Albuquerque’s National Fiery Foods & Barbecue Show, returning to the Sandia Resort and Casino from March 1 – 3, 2013.

The 25th National Fiery Foods & Barbecue Show is produced by Albuquerque’s own chilehead Dave DeWitt, with over 200 exhibitors and plenty of opportunities to sample salsas, savories, and sweets with heat!  Cooking demonstrations this year include guest chef  “Dr. BBQ” Ray Lampe, and cookbook author Jennifer Trainer Thompson is giving two demonstrations on How to Make Hot Sauce at Home. There’s also a tequila demonstration with Jim Garcia of Sadies of New Mexico, the Great Grill-Off contest, and more.

Tickets cost $15 for adults and $5 for children aged 6 – 18 if you buy tickets at the door.  Tots aged 5 and under go free. However, you can get a discount ticket at $10 for adults if you purchase tickets in advance.  (Kids’ ticket prices are still $5.) To avoid paying Ticketmaster fees on those advance tickets, hop it along to the Sandia Resort & Casino Ticketmaster booth ahead of the show’s opening date to get the $5 discount with no online fee.

Otherwise, purchasing advance tickets online via Ticketmaster adds a $5.05 fee per adult ticket, so you’re actually paying 5 cents more than on the door, and kids’ admission is $3.75 more expensive than waiting till the day of the show. Plus you’ll pay a fee for ticket delivery, or it’s free for Will Call tickets. If the convenience of buying online in advance works for you, that’s all well and good: order via Ticketmaster here.

Admission for the fiery foods extravaganza is hot-and-heavy-breathing good value, even if you don’t snag the advance discount!

The 2013 Fiery Foods & Barbecue Show general public admission times are:

  • Friday March 1  from 4 to 8 pm
  • Saturday March 2  from 11 am to 7 pm
  • Sunday March 3  from 11 am to 6 pm

It’s free to park at Sandia Resort and Casino, located at 30 Rainbow Road NE, just east of I-25 at the Tramway Exit 234. The resort is huge and kinda hard to miss, but if you’re an Albuquerque visitor, here’s a map to Sandia Resort & Casino.

Southwestern Muscle Car Nationals $2 Discount Coupon

Comments Off on Southwestern Muscle Car Nationals $2 Discount Coupon

Save on admission to the Southwestern Muscle Car Nationals in Albuquerque from March 30 to April 1, 2012.

Regular admission to the Southwestern Muscle Car Nationals 2012 at Expo New Mexico is $12 for adults, but you can print out a Racing Southwest coupon to get $2 off!

They say it’s for Facebook friends, but I can’t see that Facebook has anything to do with it; the coupon is right there at the Racing Southwest website – click the car coupon/photo to get it, or if you’re having trouble with that, go direct to the Southwestern Muscle Car Nationals ticket discount coupon here.

You might also be able to get the advance ticket deal from NAPA Auto Parts stores I mentioned earlier this month, although I notice they’ve changed the discount from $3 off to $2 off since then. So the coupon deal is just as good, and NAPA may have run out of advance tickets by now. But, some people don’t like printing coupons, so if tickets remain, the offer is$2 off advance tickets to  Southwestern Muscle Car, at NAPA locations in Albuquerque, Rio Rancho, Belen, Santa Fe, and Edgewood.

The admission price for children aged 9 to 12 years is $3. However it looks like you can also get free tickets for children from Wendy’s – so just check it out when you’re in there.

Show admission is free for kids aged 8 and under with a paying adult.

I love seeing these amazing cars – although I’d be terrified to drive one. I’ve never had a driving accident or scrape in my life (touch wood) but you know I’m just going to reverse into a lamp post in one of these beauties and ruin the gleaming paintwork.

Southwestern Muscle Car Nationals takes place at Expo New Mexico from Friday March 30 to Sunday April 1, 2012. Hours are:

  • Friday March 30:  5 pm – 10 pm.
  • Saturday March 31: 10 am to 10 pm
  • Sunday April 1:  10 am to 6 pm

Regular admission to the Southwestern Muscle Car Nationals 2012 at Expo New Mexico is $12 for adults, but I’ve spotted this deal to get $3 off tickets to the Southwestern Muscle Car Nationals if you purchase tickets early in advance from NAPA Auto Parts stores. That’s at NAPA locations in Albuquerque, Rio Rancho, Belen, Santa Fe, and Edgewood.  They may only have a limited quantity available in each location, so get there sooner rather than later.

The admission price for children aged 9 to 12 years is $3. However it looks like you can also get free tickets for children from Wendy’s – so just check it out when you’re in there.

Show admission is free for kids aged 8 and under with a paying adult.

Fiery Foods & Barbecue Show 2012

Albuquerque’s National Fiery Foods & Barbecue Show returns to the Sandia Resort and Casino from March 2 – 4, 2012, with over 200 exhibitors and plenty of opportunities to sample salsas, savories, and sweets with heat!

We know how much you love your fiery foods, but don’t be a hot head, check out the best way to buy your tickets to the big event, produced by Albuquerque’s own chilehead Dave DeWitt.

The 24th National Fiery Foods & Barbecue Show tickets cost $15 for adults and $5 for children up to age to 18 if you buy tickets at the door.

Or do you need to buy a ticket at all? Bookworks hosts a book signing with Dave DeWitt on Sunday February 26, 2012, at 3 pm, and if you buy a copy of his new book at that event, you get a free pass for the Fiery Foods Show. The book is Dave DeWitt’s Chile Trivia: Weird, Wacky Factoids for Curious Chileheads by DeWitt and Lois Manno, and although we don’t have info from Bookworks on book pricing, the publisher gives a price of $15.95. So you essentially get the book PLUS show admission for a similar price to one or other on their own.

You can also get a discount ticket at $10 for adults and still $5 for children if you purchase tickets in advance. However, purchasing online in advance via Ticketmaster adds a $3.50 fee per ticket, so you actually only save $1.50 on each adult ticket, and the kids’ admission is $3.50 more expensive than waiting till the day of the show. Plus you’ll pay a fee for ticket delivery, or it’s free for Will Call tickets. If the convenience of buying online in advance works for you, that’s all well and good.

But the ***magic*** solution to get the the best of both worlds? The event publicist confirms that you can also trundle along to the Sandia Resort & Casino Ticketmaster booth ahead of the show to buy discount advance tickets with no online fee.

Update: Advance ticket purchase means *before* Friday March 2 (opening date) according to the comment from Eric below. Thanks Eric!

Admission for the fiery foods extravaganza is hot-and-heavy-breathing good value, even if you don’t snag the advance discount!

General public admission times for the 2012 Fiery Foods & Barbecue Show are:

  • Friday March 2  from 4 to 8 pm
  • Saturday March 3  from 11 am to 7 pm
  • Sunday March 4  from 11 am to 6 pm

It’s free to park at Sandia Resort and Casino, located at 30 Rainbow Road NE, just east of I-25 at the Tramway Exit 234. The resort is huge and kinda hard to miss, but if you’re an Albuquerque visitor, here’s a map to Sandia Resort & Casino.

Fiery Foods & Barbecue Show 2011

Comments Off on Fiery Foods & Barbecue Show 2011

The Fiery Foods & Barbecue Show returns to the Sandia Resort and Casino Events Center from March 4 – 6, 2011, with over 200 exhibitors and plenty of opportunities to sample salsas, savories, and sweets with heat!

We know how much you love your fiery foods, but don’t be a hot head, check out the best way to buy your tickets to the big event, produced by Albuquerque’s own chilehead Dave DeWitt.

The 23rd Fiery Foods & Barbecue Show tickets cost:

  • $15 for adults and $5 for children up to age to 18 if you wait to buy tickets at the door.
  • $10 for adults and still $5 for children if you purchase tickets in advance.

That makes it sounds like the advance purchase is the better deal, but as purchasing online in advance via Ticketmaster adds a $3.25 “convenience charge” per ticket, you actually only save $1.75 on each adult ticket, and the kids’ admission is $3.25 more expensive than waiting till the day of the show. Plus you’ll pay a fee for ticket delivery which varies according to the method you choose, starting at $2.50. If the convenience of buying online in advance works for you, that’s all well and good.

But the ***magic*** solution to get the best of both worlds? The event publicist tells us you can also trundle along to the Sandia Resort & Casino Ticketmaster booth ahead of the show to buy advance tickets with no online fee.

Sounds like a no-brainer to me, or just wait and buy your tickets on the door on the day. Admission for the fiery foods extravaganza is hot-and-heavy-breathing good value, even if you don’t snag the advance discount!

General public admission times for the 2011 Fiery Foods & Barbecue Show are:

  • Friday March 4  from 4 to 7 pm

  • Sunday March 6  from 11 am to 6 pm
