The $69.95 pass (usually $99.95) is available from Cliff’s websiteandit allows unlimited rides on each visit, for unlimited visits through the 2013 season. It’s valid for WaterMania! too (although note that Watermania! doesn’t open until the middle of May). .

Or opt for $3 off a ride pass for a single day with unlimited rides – the discount price is $22.95.

They’re also offering 10-20% discounts on Cliff’s Fun Cards to use on rides, games, and food:

I know that ABQ on the Cheap readers LOVE Cliff’s Amusement Park discounts, so if you want to secure any of these early bird deals on a season pass, ride pass, or fun card, now’s the time to think about it.

The park is still fondly known by many Albuquerque locals as Uncle Cliff’s, even though they changed the name two decades ago. We were all very sad and sorry to hear when Uncle Cliff himself, Clifford Hammond, passed away earlier this year.  What a wonderful legacy he left us!

Cliff’s Amusement Park opens on April 13, 2014, and is located at 4800 Osuna Rd NE.

Sandia Peak & Ski Santa Fe Deals by November 21

November 19, 2011 by
Filed under Sport & Leisure, Weekend & Day Trips

Comments Off on Sandia Peak & Ski Santa Fe Deals by November 21

Ski ticket deals at Sandia Peak and Ski Santa Fe, but buy fast if you want them!

The Sandia Peak 6 Packs of Fun card is only available for purchase until November 21 priced $249. The transferable punch card is valid at both Sandia Peak and Ski Santa Fe, for six adult all day lift tickets. (Regular one day adult lift tickets at Sandia Peak are $50, or $63 at Ski Santa Fe.) The Sandia Peak link to purchase the 6 Packs of Fun card doesn’t appear to be working, but you can get to it via the Peak Plus Card logo link on the same page, which lands you at this ski pass purchase page.

In a separate deal for the Peak Plus Card you’ll save $10 buying it before November 21, at the price of $49. After that, the price is $59. When shown at the relevant ski mountain, the Peak Plus Card gives a $25 discount an all day mountain lift ticket at Sandia Peak, or $20 off a Ski Santa Fe lift ticket. The card can be used all season.

Ski Santa Fe also has a number of ski passes with discounts to save $20 if you buy before November 21. The small print at the bottom of their ski pass page says the passes are good for both Santa Fe and Sandia Peak, but please check those terms for yourself when you purchase as some may vary.  Discount examples:

  • Platinum Pass at $549 before November 21- it’ll be $569 after. The Pass is for ages 13-61 and gives access to the slopes all season.
  • Silver Pass for ages 62 –  71 with all season access at $429  (instead of $449)
  • Bronze Pass for weekdays only is $379 ($399 after). Note the blackout dates for this pass of December 25 – January 1, 2012.
  • Kids’ ski pass (called the Future Pass) for ages 12 and under at $199 (afterward it’s $219)

With the Ski Santa Fe passes, it looks as though the customer also has to fill  in a contract. I’m not clear whether this contract is provided when you complete an online sale (as I haven’t gone through the process) or if it needs to be completed separately. Doesn’t seem that efficient to me if it’s the latter, but as I’ve said before, I’m not in charge of the universe, much as I’d like to be, so I just pass on the info for the buyer to check it out.

New Mexico ski deals for early birds – some are only available till Sunday.

I can’t get my head around the fact that we’re nearly into ski season again. I’m still wearing my sandals.  BUT, if you plan to head to the frozen north (aka the Taos and Enchanted Circle vicinity) to ski this winter, grap these early bird specials fast.

Available to Sunday November 6, 2011:

  • Angel Fire Season Pass $100 discount for adults, when you buy through November 6. The pre-season sale pass for adults costs $399 (usually $499). They’re also offering $50 off passes for kids, students, and active duty military, at $249 instead of $299.
  • Sipapu Ski Resort also has an offer on season passes until November 6. Adult passes cost $349 for adults, that’s a $50 discount.  For students the deal is $249, and kids and seniors pay $109.  The Sipapu season pass this year also includes three free days of skiing at other ski resorts, including some in Colorado, and here in New Mexico at Ski Apache, Angel Fire, Red River, and other partnering resorts.

Available to Friday November 18, 2011:

  • Red River Ski Area offers 10% off lift tickets using the Red River Ski promo code: EARLY2011

It’s a long, long way to September…but you’ll save big if you buy your tickets PRONTO for ¡Globalquerque!

Tickets are now on sale for Globalquerque, Albuquerque’s annual celebration of world music and culture. The 2011 event  takes place September 16-17 at the National Hispanic Cultural Center, with performers including the terrific Cree singer-songwriter Buffy Sainte-Marie (my personal fave on the roster), Sergent Garcia, and Nawal.

If you plan ahead and buy Globalquerque Earlybird tickets, available to June 20,  you’ll save yourself significant sums of cash. For example, an earlybird adult 2-day pass runs just $40 — a savings of $10 off the regular advance ticket price, and a whopping $20 off the day of show price!

From June 20, 2011, ticket prices increase, so it’s a “seize the day” moment if you don’t want to waste perfectly good dollars by waiting to buy Globalquerque tickets when you can buy now at Earlybird prices :-)

Comments Off on SAVE $10 ON GLOBALQUERQUE TICKETS

It’s a long, long way to September…but you’ll save big if you buy your tickets NOW for ¡Globalquerque!

While other big arts events are being suspended or canceled this year (Festival Flamenco Internacional de Albuquerque, anyone?), ¡Globalquerque!  — our big international music fiesta — rolls on. Thank goodness!

Tickets are now on sale for the 2009 event, which runs September 25 and 26 at the National Hispanic Cultural Center. Earlybird tickets are available through June 27 and will save you significant samoleons. For example, an earlybird adult 2-day pass runs just $40 — a savings of $10 off the regular advance ticket price, and a whopping $20 off the day of show price!

Plus, if you buy your tickets at the NHCC box office, you’ll save Ticketmaster convenience fees, which can total $10 or more.

Besides all the world-class music, last year’s ¡Globalquerque! featured an entire day of free programs, music demonstrations, and more. When we learn more about a potential free day for 2009, we’ll post details.

The NHCC box office is located at 1701 4th St SW, Albuquerque.
