Hit the Turquoise Trail for holiday art, charity, food and fun at The Old Schoolhouse Gallery and Aspects of Clay! Holiday arts events December 4th and 5th (2009) include local artists, a charity ornament sale, door prizes, and FREE refreshments.

The Old Schoolhouse Gallery gets the season off to a festive start with a Holiday Opening on Friday, December 4, from 6:00 – 9:00pm. The party showcases new holiday-themed works of art, with wine and cheese refreshments.

The Gallery and Aspects of Clay will co-host a Holiday Art Sale on Saturday, December 5, from 10:00am – 6:00pm. Many local artists will sell their holidays works at outdoor booths. Importantly, 100% of the proceeds from a special sale of ornaments priced from $5 – $10 will be donated to the East Mountain Friends for Families charity. The artists and vendors have donated door prizes both Friday and Saturday, and refreshments will be provided.

Aspects of Clay is a community ceramic studio that offers everything from tiles, murals and bisqueware, to paint-your-own pottery, clay classes, and ceramic supplies. The Old Schoolhouse Gallery is a fine art gallery featuring New Mexico artists, with a variety of artwork in all price ranges. General hours of operation for Aspects of Clay and The Old Schoolhouse Gallery are Wednesday through Saturday 10:00am – 6:00pm and Sunday noon to 5:00pm.

Both businesses are located on New Mexico’s scenic Turquoise Trail, less than half an hour from Albuquerque, at 12504 Highway N 14, approximately a quarter mile north of Frost Road.
