• Half Price Frappuccino at Starbucks Happy Hour through May 16, between 3 and 5 pm at participating locations. No coupon needed….Froth on!
• Free Chocolate Chip Cookies on May 15, to celebrate National Chocolate Chip Cookie Day. That’s the kind of national celebration we like…. According to New Mexico Business Weekly, the Nestlé Toll House Café by Chip at the ABQ Uptown location ONLY will give away 2,000 mini cookies to mark its second anniversary there – plus opportunities to win prizes and see the Nesquik Bunny.
• Free Quiznos Sub with a Buy one Get one Free coupon to score a free sub when you buy one of equal value and a regular fountain drink. Valid till May 14, 2010.
• Military Eat Free at Chick-fil-A on May 15 in honor of Armed Forces Day, at both ABQ locations: Chick-fil-A  Cottonwood Corners and Chick-fil-A Paseo del Norte. We’re told that anyone in uniform or carrying a military ID will eat free. Yay on Chick-fil-A! And our military men and women… there aren’t enough Yays – we thank you for your service.
• Free breakfast at Chick-fil-A Cottonwood Corners on Saturday May 8 from 6:30 to 10:30 am. If you didn’t see our post LAST Friday about free breakfast week, you’ve still got one more day to nab a free breakfast item on Saturday, the final day of the promo. • Save 50% at Porky’s Pride Real Pit BBQ and Cecilia’s Café thanks to Good Day New Mexico’s Half Price Thursday. Buy $50 worth of gift certificates for only $25.

Mother’s Day Feasts

If you haven’t got your groove on for Mother’s Day yet, then here are a few places where you can TREAT that lady!

All seem reasonable deals for the locations, all on Sunday May 9, 2010. Tax and tip are extra, and reservations are generally recommended:

• TGI Friday’s premium menu with 3 courses for $16.99 
• Brasserie La Provence $30 prix fixe menu of three courses from 10:30 am to 3 pm.
• Zinc Wine Bar & Bistro Mother’s Day Brunch from 10 am to 3 pm offers the regular menu plus specials, and classical guitar music by Dan Dowling.
• Zinc Mother’s Day Jazz Dinner from 5 pm includes a starter amuse-bouche and sparkling apertif and a three course prix fixe menu for $40, with music by the Robb Janov Quartet.
• The Standard Diner Buffet Brunch is from 9:30 am to 3 pm at $27 for adults, or $10 for kids aged 5-12.
• Hyatt Regency Tamaya Resort serves Mother’s Day brunch in the smart Corn Maiden restaurant from 11 am to 3 pm, at $60 or $30 for kids aged 12 and under. In the more casual Santa Ana Café, brunch runs from 10 am to 3 pm, for $45 – kids half that price.
• Sheraton Albuquerque Uptown buffet brunch is $28, and kids eat at half price, aged 12 and under. It’s all happening in the Sheraton Ballroom from 11 am to 2 pm.

Just in time for kissy day, we’re sharing the love on Valentine specials and freebies, plus ongoing deals and coupons, from Applebee’s, Dominos, Buca di Beppo, Quiznos, Whataburger, and Village Inn.

Couples get a free Patty Melt Whatameal with fries and drink at Whataburger on February 14 between 5 and 10 pm. Purchase one Patty Melt Whatameal to qualify for the freebie for your date! Dine-in only at  Whataburger locations.

Domino’s customers who order online on February 14 receive a free 2-piece order of Chocolate Lava Crunch Cakes with the promo code HUG. Valid with an online purchase, for delivery, at participating stores while supplies last. Enter coupon code “HUG” into the coupon code field.

Buca di Beppo: 
-  A free chocolate covered strawberry when you dine-in on February 14. No coupon needed, one strawberry per person, while supplies last. I’d make reservations.
- $10 off your purchase of $20 or more with this Buca di Beppo coupon valid till December 31, 2010. One coupon per visit per table, not valid with other offers. Print it out for dine in, or order at Buca to Go  using the coupon code at the link.

Village Inn – Get a coupon for a free slice of pie when you send a Valentine’s Day email or post a message to your sweetie’s Facebook page, using Village Inn’s online V-Day card making doohickey.
At the same link, you’ll also find a coupon for a buy one get one free slice of pie, expiring February 19.

Appelebee’s 2 for $20 deal (make it a date night) serves up one appetizer and two entrees for a flat $20.

Quiznos coupons give :
- A free sub when you buy a sub of equal or greater value and a regular fountain drink
- $1 off any Choose 2 Combo
Coupons are valid till February 21 at participating resaurants. One coupon per person, no delivery orders, and you can’t use with any other offer.

Friday Food Freebies and Deals for 7/10/09

Got a sweet tooth? A yen for fish? Or simply a yen for “cheap”? We’ve got all three covered!

• Free Baja Fish Taco Day: Well, yo-ho-ho and a baja fish taco! On Tuesday, July 14 (2009), sail on over to Long John Silver’s before 2:30pm to score a free fish taco. No coupon required, no rigamarole. Limit one per customer. Participating locations only. Nine LJS locations in New Mexico to serve you. (Thanks, Barb!)
• $10 off: Buca di Beppo offers this coupon for $10 off a $30 purchase. Simple. The offer looks to be good on carryout, as well as dine in, since the coupon doesn’t limit the offer. Valid through 7/21/09. There’s one Buca in the Q, and it’s over by Coronado Center.
• Free food tasting: Who knew Osuna Nursery did gourmet foods? We didn’t. But they’re hosting a tasting Saturday and Sunday, July 11 and 12, from 11:00am – 3:00pm both days. Sample Jalapeño Candied Jelly from Third Coast Gourmet & Gifts, soup mixes from The Plentiful Pantry, and Artisan Chocolate Fudge Balls from Cocopotamus. Yum! In the North Valley near Osuna and Edith.
• Free pint of Starbucks ice cream (maybe): We added the caveat because this is a giveaway through Facebook. So, first, you have to be able to log in to Facebook (thereby eliminating everyone who doesn’t use the site). Second, they’re only giving away 800 coupons per hour (sounds like a lot, until you figure how many thousands of people are vying for them). Still, if you’re into the thrill of the chase or you just can’t live without Starbucks ice cream, this may be worth a shot! Every day through 7/19/09.
• Free wine tasting: Jubilation Wine & Spirits has been hosting several beer tastings lately, but finally here’s one for wine lovers. Tomorrow, 7/11/09, from 2:00 – 4:00pm, stop by Jubilation to taste “wines that are best to drink in the summer heat.” Varieties will include orvietos, torrontes, pinot noir, malbec, a sparkling wine, and several others. Located near UNM at Lomas & Carlisle.
• BOGO Sub: Check out this coupon for BOGO Quizno’s sub sandwich. Buy one combo meal, get a second sub free! Note it’s good only at the 4411 Montaño Rd location.
• Half off dinner: Here’s one for our amigos en el valle sur. Kathy’s Carryout is legendary! Use this coupon for 50% off second dinner with the purchase of one dinner and two drinks. ¡Qué rico!
