Black Friday 2011 is right around the corner. Or as I’m starting to call it: The Day of the Dread. I find Black Friday rather overwhelming but HEY! It’s a great day to save money!
Black Friday is traditionally the biggest shopping day of the year, when many people start their Christmas shopping. Others (not naming any names) start their Christmas shopping on Christmas Eve. But it’s smart to shop early, as on Black Friday ( November 25, 2011 ) you can expect deals you won’t find any other time of the year. A little work may however be required, especially as some of the stores open at ridiculous times and you might need to camp out to save dollars 😉 And some stores aren’t even waiting till Friday, they’re starting on Thanksgiving Day or even today.
Many official Black Friday ads have been released in advance, so we don’t have to wait till Thanksgiving morning to find the Doorbuster deals for electronics and computers, apparel, appliances and household goods, and a whole lot more:
- Amazon Black Friday Deals Week is already running, with discount offers each day. They say they’ve checked other retailer Black Friday ads so Amazon can meet or beat those prices, and of course in most cases there’s no sales tax to pay on online orders.
- Best Buy Black Friday Ad
- Walmart Black Friday Ad
- Sears Thanksgiving Sale and Black Friday Deals preview, including Black Friday pricing available now on certain televisions, plus free shipping on orders of $99+ with the promo code: REALJOY or free store pick-up on orders.
- Target Black Friday Ad
- Kohl’s Black Friday Ad
- JC Penney Black Friday Ad
- Staples Black Friday Ad
- Sam’s Club Black Friday Ad (with online sales shopping starting at 9 pm Mountain Time, November 23). Shoppers can also get a Sam’s Club Free Breakfast on November 25 during the members-only Black Friday shopping event, from 5 am – 8 am, with a free breakfast of hot egg sandwiches, fruit, yogurt and coffee.
Some of these Black Friday ads are via the site Black-Friday.net which is a great resource on all shopping deals on Black Friday, to find the ads for your fave store and deal listings in exhaustive detail.
Also don’t forget about Small Business Saturday on November 26, and the deal for American Express card holders to get a free $25 Amex credit on their statement when shopping at small businesses on Saturday. You need to register your card in advance, deets at the link.
Among smaller businesses, Albuquerque Black Friday or Small Business Saturday deals include:
Alamosa Books is offering 25% off “almost everything” – most books, toys and stationery – from November 25 – 27 at 8810 Holly Avenue NE.
The first 300 customers at Thrift Town on November 25 receive a $5 off $15 coupon, according to an email received from Thrift Town. They open at 8 am on Friday.
Routes Rentals & Tours deals on November 25 and 26 include 50% off boutique gifts and stocking stuffers, 15% off certificates for bicycle or snowshoes rentals, 20% off bike and snow tour certificates, plus discounts on bike and bike accessories.

How does the idea of free Botox grab you? It’s a deal I fear I need with the current state of my face.
ABQ Health Partners Plastic Surgery Center has three great beauty deals from 7 am – 12 noon on Friday, November 25, 2011, only available at the Plastic Surgery Center, 5006 Gibson Boulevard SE.
- Save $195 on Botox and Juvederm Ultra XC (aka ‘the liquid facelift’) when purchased together. For $1,325 get 35 units of Botox and two syringes of Juvederm Ultra XC. Only 10 are available.
- Get 10 free units of Botox with the purchase of 25 units. This works out to a final cost of $7.85 per unit. Only 50 are available.
- Get a free SkinCeuticals cosmetics tote valued at $50 with any $75 purchase of skincare products. The tote is packed with deluxe skincare samples, a full-sized sun protectant, and exclusive offers, such as gift certificates for half-price facial treatments.
Dr. Morehouse will be IN the house on Black Friday, so if you want your Botox or Juvederm to be injected that morning, he’ll do the beauty duty on a first-come, first-served basis. Otherwise, buy the deals in the form of gift certificates and return for an appointment later. Tell them you heard about the deal at ABQ on the Cheap, and you never know, they *might* just offer an exclusive for readers in the future!
See all the info on the Botox and Juvederm deals at the ABQ Health Partners Plastic Surgery Center Facebook page. Details include that to purchase the first two deals, customers must register in the Brilliant Distinctions program, as that’s part of the way they can offer this deal with an instant coupon/rebate. It’s a public ABQ Health Partners Plastic Surgery Center page so you don’t need to be a Facebook member to see it.
You can use the deals yourself or give them as a gift. Mr Cheap would be nervous about giving me Botox as a gift, in case I sorta took it the wrong way. Let me declare in public that I would be nothing but delighted, although I might make him suffer a little anyway.
ABQ Health Partners Plastic Surgery Center is located at 5006 Gibson Boulevard SE.
For years Black Friday has been the largest shopping day of the year, when many people start their Christmas shopping. On Black Friday ( November 26, 2010 ) you can expect deals you won’t find any other time of the year, but a little work is required. Grab your boots, mittens, and stocking caps, because for many of these deals you might need to camp out in the freezing cold, but it’s worth it to save hundreds of dollars.
The official Black Friday ads are not released until Thanksgiving morning, but ads are often leaked in advance at sites including Black-Friday.net. Here are some of the biggest deals we’ve spotted.
Best buy has a strong ad this year, with plenty of door buster items. If you’re shopping for a Wii video game console, Best Buy’s price is $169.99 – a $40 dollar savings. Video game consoles normally do not go on sale for Black Friday, so this is a don’t-miss-it deal. There will be a minimum of 15 per store. Readers can pick up a Barnes and Noble Nook for only $99.99, a $50 dollar savings. Save $300 on a 50” Panasonic iVera, 1080p television. The best savings at Best Buy this year is the LG washer and dryer combo for only $999.98 (regular price $1,999.98). Show up early because they will likely be sold fast. Some families begin camping out every year on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving…
Walmart is quickly becoming one of the strongest competitors in the Black Friday deal competition. Pick up a Magnavox Blu-Ray disc player with Wi-Fi for only $69. If you’re looking for a laptop, Walmart offers an Emachines laptop computer for $198. Those in the market for a new flat screen TV should hit Walmart bright and early to grap a 42” 1080p LCD television for $398. They also have a 32” 720p TV for $198. If you plan on purchasing an iPod Touch this holiday season, check out Walmart, because you ‘ll also receive a $50 Walmart gift card. The 8gb iPod Touch is $225.
Target stores around the country are competing very strongly this year. Target is offering the cheapest television of anyone we’ve seen so far. A 40” 1080p Westinghouse is only $298, an amazingly low price for a television this size. Wii owners can also pick up the Wii Fit Plus Bundle for only $67, over $30 dollars in savings. Grown Ups and Toy Story 3 are both available on DVD for $13, over 30% in savings. Target is also offering a $79 GPS, an amazing deal considering this is over $110 in savings. If your New Year’s resolution is to take more pictures, than be sure to pick up a Nikon S205 Coolpix digital camera for only $79, $60 less than the normal price. Target opens at 4 am.
Sears is offering a Kenmore washer and dryer for $599.98, that a 57% saving, and another for $199.99, a 54% savings. Clothes, tools, and electronics are highly discounted, and Sears online offers some exclusive web deals for people who don’t want to line up at the stores for bargains:
- Online Only – 24 months No Interest on Electronics over $599 + FREE Shipping on TVs 37″+ now to November 27.
- Online Only – All DSLR Cameras on sale up to $200 off + FREE Shipping now to November 27.
- All Fisher-Prices Toys on sale + save EXTRA 10% off with code SFP10PHOLIDAY to November 27.
- EXTRA $5 off any $50 Toy order from Sears.com with code S5OFF50TOYS11 to November 30.
Look for a variety of kitchen electronics priced at $9.88, including a waffle maker, coffeemaker, slow cooker, griddle, or toaster. JC Penney has many great deals on fine jewelry, sometimes up to 85% off. So husbands looking to get out of the dog house or just searching for a gift for that special someone, head over to JC Penney at 4 am. (We mean for the jewelry, not the kitchen equipment!)
Gamestop has many offers on video game consoles and video games. Purchase an Xbox 360 for $199.99 and receive a free copy of Madden 11 or Medal of Honor, a $60 value absolutely free. Purchase a Wii console for $199.99 and get three free games including Just Dance, Wii Sports and Wii Sports Resort, a $90 value. Purchase a PS3 video game system for $299.99 and get God of War collection and God of War III for free, an $80 value. Many games at Gamestop are discounted 50% or more, so be sure to see the ad for more details.
For more information go to Black-Friday.net or look at the official advertisements Thanksgiving morning. So grab your winter coats, finish your Thanksgiving dinner early and head over to your store of choice to take advantage of the spectacular savings. As mentioned before, these deals are still rumors based on leaked ads, so double check before heading out.
FYI – We’ve linked you to the Sears.com deals with our affliliate code. If you feel like sending a little love this way to support the ABQ on the Cheap site, please use the links.
