Free Dia de los Muertos Art Expo July 10 & 11
Why celebrate Día de los Muertos only once a year when you can celebrate it all year long? That’s the philosophy behind the Arté de Muertos Expo, held four times a year.
If you’re a Day of the Dead aficionado, check out the expo this Saturday and Sunday, July 10 and 11, 2010. Admission and parking are FREE!
The expo features all manner of Day of the Dead folk and fine art, but they have a bunch of other stuff, too, like shadow boxes, jewelry, wood carvings, ceramics, and wind chimes. Artists are from New Mexico, Texas, Colorado, Arizona and California, and much of the art is exhibited by the maker, so you can chat directly with the artists as you browse.
The event includes artist demonstrations, music, face painting, tarot readings and paranormal and metaphysical experts on hand to share their knowledge. Ghost story author Antonio R. Garcez will be in attendance to sign books.
The free Arté de Muertos Expo will be held at the new Agave del Sol Event Center on:
- Saturday July 10 from 10 am to 6pm
- Sunday July 11 from 10am to 5pm
Agave del Sol Event Center is located at 7500 Montgomery NE, east of Louisiana.
