Free Film Screening at The KiMo: March 8

See a movie for free – it’s made in Albuquerque!

Indie Q at the KiMo takes place on Thursday March 8, 2012, starting at 7 pm. The movie this time is: Missing You. It’s set in Albuquerque and was made right here, and you don’t have to miss any money to see it as admission is totally free!

It sounds like it might be a good movie if you want to grab a last-minute date to take…  But maybe not literally grabbing, if its a first date. They don’t always like that.  Missing You is described as comical, and it’s about a woman on the verge of her 30th birthday (I remember that terror). She’s looking for love, there’s a guy doing the same, and it sounds less like a boy-meets-girl scenario than a question of will the boy meet the girl? Will they? The romantic in me hopes so…

Due to some adult themes and language, the movie isn’t recommended for viewers aged under 13.

Doors open at 6:30 pm for the show to start at 7 pm. Take cash to purchase drinks and popcorn – they are real-money-only concessions.

Indie Q at the KiMo is a collaboration between the wonderful Albuquerque Film Office, the City of Albuquerque, and The KiMo Theatre, to show locally-made independent films.

I’ve only just spotted that the free screening is upon us, so I hope some of you can get out to see it!

The KiMo Theatre is located at 423 Central Avenue NW.

  • Under the Stairs by Joshua Sallach
  • Plush by Ryan Denmark

If you miss that, The Righteous and the Wicked free screening takes place at the KiMo Theatre on Friday December 2 at 7:30 pm.  The screening is to mark the DVD release of The Righteous and the Wicked by Lionsgate, locally shot and produced by 505 Films. The director Craig A Butler will be on hand for Q&A.  Note that the movie is not recommended for kids aged under 13.
