Albuquerque Coupons for Visitors

Comments Off on Albuquerque Coupons for Visitors

As visitors arrive for Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta, it’s worth knowing about these
Albuquerque discount coupons from the Albuquerque Convention and Visitors Bureau. Some are only good for use by visitors to Albuquerque, not residents, but if you’re on a trip to Albuquerque through December 31, 2012, or you’ve got friends or family in town, these are definitely worth checking out.

Albuquerque CVB coupon deals include:

  • $2 off admission to Unser Racing Museum
  • Two for the price of one adult admission to Tinkertown Museum (open through October 31, 2012)
  • $1 off admission to the National Museum of Nuclear Science and History
  • Standard Diner free appetizer with the purchase of an entree
  • La Fonda Del Bosque 10% off lunch and 15% off breakfast at the restaurant in the National Hispanic Cultural Center
  • $10 off a food order of $25 or more at Prairie Star Restaurant and Wine Bar, the Santa Ana Golf Club restaurant
  • $10 off at Twin Warriors Golf Club
  • Hinkle Family Fun Center: Buy one $5 Fun Card for the game rooms and get another free $5 card
  • 10% off Tours of Old Town adult tickets
  • Free souvenir wine glass with a wine flight at St Clair Winery & Bistro

Plus discounts at shops, galleries, and hotels. Some hotels (and balloon ride companies) expressly exclude the coupon rate during Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta. Other hotel coupons don’t mention blackout dates, so it might be worth calling to see if the coupon rate applies, assuming rooms are still available…

The printable coupons expire December 31, 2012, unless they say otherwise, and some coupons can only be used by non-Albuquerque residents. Sorry locals! The coupons rather unhelpfully don’t tell you which ones are only eligible for non-residents, so you have to call the businesses and ask.

I count more than 50 Albuquerque coupons in all, and I haven’t done the math, but Albuquerque Convention & Visitors Bureau says the coupons are worth over $400 in discounts at attractions, restaurants, and lodging.

Comments Off on Win an Albuquerque Vacation

Sorry ABQ residents, you can’t enter this – but you can tell your friends and family further afield to throw their hat in the ring for the Albuquerque Convention and Visitors Bureau free sweepstakes to win a 3 night vacation! Lovely hotels and lots of perks, just enter by August 1, 2010.

We have a good number of out-of-town readers here at ABQ on the Cheap, and of course our loyal local subscribers also have family and friends eager to visit. (And if they’re not eager to visit, then they should be. And they will be after reading the lovely prize they can win.)

So here’s the scoop on the Albuquerque Free Vacation Giveaway.

Four sweepstakes winners will each win:

  • Three nights at the hotel of their choice from:  Hotel Albuquerque at Old Town, Hotel Andaluz, Hyatt Regency Albuquerque, Nativo Lodge, or Sheraton Albuquerque Uptown.
  • $200 Visa card to offset expenses such as airfare, gas, or shopping.

Plus the choice of an activity guided by Albuquerque experts, with options including:

  • Fly in a hot air balloon with Rainbow Ryders and tour the Anderson-Abruzzo Albuquerque International Balloon Museum
  • Eat at a New Mexican restaurant with dining diva Gwyneth Doland (she’s a foodie marvel, and always very witty and smart)
  • Play golf at Twin Warriors Golf Club
  • Shop Albuquerque with Lexi Petronis (editor of Albuquerque The Magazine)

There are quite a few more options, see them all at the Albuquerque Free Vacation Giveaway page.

 Ok, the official ruley parts:

  • You have to be aged 18 or over
  • Can’t be an Albuquerque resident
  • One entry per person
  • Winners must take their trip by September 30, 2011
  • Transport is not included
  • See all the Albuquerque vacation contest rules

Main thing is to get your entry in by 11:59 pm Eastern Time on August 1, 2010. The form will take all of two minutes to fill in (half the problem is deciding what option activity/excursion you want.)

What have you got to lose? Enter yourself, or tell your friends and family to enter right now, and if someone wins it from hearing about it via Albuquerque On The Cheap – PLEASE tell us! We’d love to know.

Good luck!
