$50 for a $100 Travelocity Hotel Gift Card

October 5, 2011 by
Filed under Lodging, Weekend & Day Trips

Pay $50 for a $100 Travelocity hotel gift card – buy before Friday October 7, 2011 (while supplies last) and use the gift card by March 31, 2012.

I’m always looking for a way to save on hotels when I’m traveling, and also when I’m putting visiting family and friends up as guests in hotels.  (Seeing as my house is pretty tiny, and Mr Cheap is pretty big, and the equation doesn’t work so well when you add in a few guests too.)

This $50 for a $100 Travelocity hotel gift card deal via Tippr seems like a good solution – basically saving $50 on a hotel booking. It’s redeemable at national and overseas hotels listed at TravelocityIncentives.com if you’re going on vacation or traveling to see family. (55,000 hotels, they reckon.)

For visitors to Albuquerque, hotels and B&Bs currently on the list include Nativo Lodge, Hotel Parq Central, Hotel Blue, Brittania W.E. Mauger Estate, Embassy Suites, Casas De Suenos in Old Town, La Quinta Inn, Holiday Inn, Hampton Inn, Hyatt Place, Sheraton Airport Hotel, and plenty of other chain hotels.

There are no blackout dates to use the gift card, but there is a minimum spend of $250 total required before you can apply the gift card, and a minimum of a two night stay. So this deal is suitable if you’re planning a several night stay – forget it if you’re planning a one-nighter, or a couple of nights in already cheap accommodation that won’t reach the $250 minimum.

The $50 for a $100 Travelocity hotel gift card is via Tippr, available nationally so you can buy it wherever you are. Sometimes these national deals have a cap in quantity so they may sell out before the promotion ends. Otherwise the offer is through Friday October 7, 2011. Then the gift card must be used by March 31, 2012.

You can buy up to 10 gift cards per person, and it’s good for one code per hotel reservation. We’ve given the main points of the offer here. But as always – check the fine print to make sure it’s a good deal for your needs.  And happy travels!

Albuquerque Hopfest: $5 off Early Bird with the Code

August 31, 2011 by

Comments Off on Albuquerque Hopfest: $5 off Early Bird with the Code

Albuquerque Hopfest returns on Saturday October 22 – general admission tickets are $25  in advance, but we’ve got the code to get $5 off if you buy tickets online.  Tickets are still available at time of writing, but quantities are limited and the final date to snag the $5 off deal is September 6.

More than 30 speciality and microbrew beers will quench the thirst of visitors to the Albuquerque Hopfest on Saturday October 22, 2011.  The whole big beery bash takes place at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino, and includes music from six bands.

Tickets are already priced slightly lower than last year, and they’re also $5 cheaper if you buy tickets online in advance rather than on the door on the day. (That may prove academic, as they sold out before the festival date in 2010, so there weren’t any tickets for sale on the gate.)

But you can also save an extra $5 using the promo code: EARLY on certain tickets. It’s valid on General Admission tickets (regularly $25, so $20 with the promo code) and Extra Hoppy Hour Passes (regularly $35, so $30 with the promo code.)

The $5 off is limited to the first 500 buyers using the promo code, so act fast – although we know there are still some left at time of writing as a) They’ve just sent a reminder about getting the cheap tickets and b) We’ve tested that the code is still working. The final date to use the code is September 6, 2011.

  • Buy tickets online to Albuquerque Hopfest before September 6
  • Use the Promo Code (all in capital letters) : EARLY
  • The Promo Code only applies to General Admission tickets and Extra Hoppy Hour passes. It’s not valid on VIP tickets or Non-Sampling tickets.
  • Note that sales tax is extra, and a ‘convenience fee’ applies, which varies according to the ticket you buy, but is roughly $3 and change.

If the ticket promo code doesn’t take, then that means they must have used up the quota for the first 500 purchases.

For visitors staying over, get a Hard Rock Hotel & Casino deluxe king or deluxe double queen bed room for $129 a night during ABQ Hopefest by calling (877) 747-5382 and using the discount code: HOPG10.

Albuquerque Hopfest is on Saturday, October 22, 2011 from 2 pm – 6 pm at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino. Some proceeds benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
