Walgreens $5 Coupon Deal for AARP Members

May 21, 2011 by

AARP members get a $5 Walgreens coupon with a $20 purchase – and if you missed our previous post on this deal, you’ve still got a week to claim it!

Everyone knows to ask for AARP discount at hotels, but if you show your AARP membership card when you spend $20 or more at Walgreen’s through May 28, you’ll get a $5 Walgreens coupon toward your next purchase. There’s a limit of one coupon per membership card and the $20 must be spent all in one purchase.

Personally I find it hard to keep track of membership benefits of the various programs I or my family members belong to, and it’s easy to miss out on savings I could claim. So if you’re an AARP member and the Walgreens AARP deal passed you by, you’ve got till May 28 to spend $20 and get a $5 coupon back.

There are lots of other AARP discounts for members at hotels, shops, and restaurants, and anyone aged 50 or over can join.

AARP membership costs $16 a year (cheaper if you join for 3 or 5 years) and it’s free to add a spouse or partner to the membership, even if the spouse is under 50.  As well as discounts at many businesses, member benefits include the very good read AARP The Magazine and the free bilingual publication for Hispanic members: AARP Segunda Juventud.
