Comments Off on Cliff’s Amusement Park Discounts 50% Off or $3 Off

Cliff’s Amusement Park, previously known as Uncle Cliff’s, is a favorite Albuquerque attraction, and the last day of the summer 2011 season is on Sunday September 25.   Till then, they are only open on Saturdays and Sundays, plus Labor Day Monday.

UPDATE: This 2011 offer has now expired and links in this post removed. See the current Cliffs Amusement Park Half Off Ride Pass 2012 post for 50% off in summer 2012.

More Cliff’s Amusement Park 2011 coupons or discounts may come along before they close, but right now here are two ways to save if you’re taking your brood for a final (wet and thrilling) fling at summer:

Print this coupon for 50% off a Cliff’s Amusement Park ride pass on Sundays through the rest of the season. A ride pass includes admission, and unlimited rides all day.  Right click at the link to print the coupon, or go directly to the PDF file of the same Cliff’s coupon. It saves you over $12 per person on the regular $24.95 ride pass ($15.95 for tots aged 2 and under). The offer comes via KOAT-TV, 100.3 The Peak, and Lite 95.1.

Note that the Cliff’s discount coupon is not valid on Saturdays. You can only use it on Sundays.

If you want to visit on a Saturday in September or on Labor Day Monday September 5, you can still get a
$3 discount on a Cliff’s Amusement Park ride pass by purchasing in advance on their website. That brings the cost of a ride pass down to $21.95.

As everything else is going UP in price, it’s nice to be able to enjoy some traditional Duke City fun where it’s only YOU taking a wild ride, not your credit card.

Cliff’s Amusement Park is located at 4800 Osuna Rd NE.
Here’s where you’ll find Cliff’s September 2011 opening hours.

Filed under Freebies, Half Off Deals, Kids, Restaurants & Bars

We’re already in a great mood, but the notion of free food somehow makes our outlook even more golden. And not as in “arches.”

  • Free Cookie: Thanks to Matt for the tip! Enjoy this coupon for a free cookie with the purchase of any large beverage at Seattle’s Best Coffee cafés inside Borders. Expires 8/16/09. Three stores in Albuquerque and two in Santa Fe.
  • Improved 2 for $20: The previous Applebee’s 2 for $20 deal involved downsized entrées, but no more. They’ve revamped the menu to include “generous portions.” Works for us. The new menu includes 12 full-sized entrées to choose from. Eight locations around the area.
  • Kids Eat Free: Also from Applebee’s. We saw this advertised on the marquee at the Menaul location, and a friendly staff person there gave us the deets: ALL your kids can eat free on Mondays with the purchase of at least one adult meal. The friendly staff person said she believed most of the Applebee’s in Albuquerque were participating. Call ahead to verify.
  • Half Price Restaurant Certificates: Using Alibi Bucks, you can get get dining certificates for half off. So, for example, purchase a $20 gift certificate to a local restaurant and pay just $10! You can’t beat that. Currently available restaurants on the Alibi Bucks page: Calico Cantina, El Norteño, Gold Street Caffé, Pepper’s Ole Fashion BBQ, Pizza 9, Ponderosa Eatery & Saloon (Tijeras), and Sushi Gen.
  • More 50% Off Restaurant Certificates: Citadel Broadcasting has rolled out “Fifty50Fridays” across all its radio station websites. Each Friday, you can score half price gift certificates to local restaurants and other food-related businesses. For example, last week’s offer was a $50 certificate to Edible Arrangements for just $25. Check every Friday for the latest offer. TIP: If you use half-price restaurant certificates every time you eat out, you can save hundreds of dollars a year!
  • Free Beverage, Free Dessert, Free Bagel: And more! Rooster’s Downtown has rolled out a boatload of coupons for free food with no qualifying purchase. Just present the coupon and get your free food. Current coupons include: hot chocolate and a cookie; tea or coffee; bagel; dessert; beverage and refill. That’s a pure extravaganza of free food! Plus, if you present your Rail Runner ticket at Rooster’s you can always get a free beverage. Fourth and Central downtown.
  • Cake Coupons: Say it with us: cake coupons! And not just any cake: moist, delectable creations from Say It with Cake. Coupons include $3 off a dozen cupcakes, $5 off a half-sheet cake, and more. Westside.
  • BBQ Coupons: If you live in Rio Rancho and like barbecue, you’re gonna love this. Smokehouse BBQ not only offers live music on Friday and Saturday night, but now you can get some great coupon deals, like $5 off a $20 order or “buy 10 breakfast burritos, get 2 free.”
  • Free Appetizer: Los Equipales Restaurant still has a coupon for a free appetizer running on their site, but they’ve added a deal for a $50 gift certificate for just $25. You have to contact them directly for details. East Nob Hill.
  • Kids Eat Free: On Wednesdays at JB’s. If you love down home style cooking and have kids under age 10, here’s your deal! All day on Wednesday, get one free kids’ meal with each adult meal purchase. Looks to be good at both Albuquerque JB’s.

And that’s it for this week! Thanks for reading, and have a great weekend!

Comments Off on $3 off Tickets for Taos Mountain Music Festival

Looking for something fun to do this weekend? How ’bout a little road trip?

The First Annual Taos Mountain Music Festival takes place Saturday, August 15 (2009), from 10:00am – 9:30pm. All Day Festival Tickets run $38, but you can save $3 off just by purchasing tickets in advance. (See the website for ticketing information. We’re unable to “deep link” directly to the ticketing page because the site is all javascripty.)  And, as if that weren’t cheap enough, kids under 10 get in FREE!

The lineup for this year’s event includes:

  • Brent Berry Band
  • Rico Blues Project
  • Nosotros
  • Joan Osborne
  • The Wailers
  • Ozomatli

This sounds like a well-thought-out festival. In addition to the main stage performers, the festival will feature “Strawberry Fair” (an area with vendors, food stalls, performing artists, and more) and a Kidzone (day pass $5 for unlimited bounce house, climbing wall, and “hilarious inflatable games” action for the little ones). The festival is even providing ear plugs (highly recommended for the youngsters in your group). Beer and wine also will be available for purchase.

The festival will be held at Taos Ski Valley, northeast of the town, proper. Lodging is available in Taos, which is a beautiful two-and-a-half hour drive from Albuquerque.

COUPON: $3 OFF AT BOSTON MARKET

Comments Off on COUPON: $3 OFF AT BOSTON MARKET

Normally, we’re 100% sure of our deals, especially dining coupons, but this one…

The coupon looks legit and was forwarded to use by a fellow Cities on the Cheap member. What we can’t verify is whether or not it’s being accepted by Albuquerque locations of Boston Market restaurants. Why don’t you give it a whirl and see? Then let us know in the comments section!

The deal: a coupon good for $3 off any purchase of $6 or more at Boston Market. It’s to promote their Friday baked whitefish special, which they’re offering at all Boston Market restaurants on Fridays throughout lent (ending April 12th). The Boston Market coupon is good on any food purchase, not only the lenten special.

There are three Boston Market locations in New Mexico, all in Albuquerque.

Let us know how you fare.
