What the Heck is an Arepa?: New northeast restaurant Cafe Choroni specializes in Arepas. You may be asking yourself, like I did, what is that?! An arepa is bread made from corn instead of wheat that are baked into a flat patty and then filled with sandwich goodness. I’m willing to try it, and with the ValPak coupon, for a BOGO arepa, there is no excuse! Located on San Mateo and Candelaria.
Undiscovered Greatness: Recently winner of ABQ the Magazine’s “Best Undiscovered Restaurant” category is locally owned, Straight Up Pizza at 6501 Wyoming Blvd NE. A little research made my mouth water and stomach growl for one of their many pizza choices, they have close to 20 toppings! And, use one of their coupons for a $12.99 large 3-topping and you’re basically getting the toppings for free!
