It wouldn’t be Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta without the Rio Grande Arts & Crafts Festival this weekend!

Regular adult admission is $7, but in case you missed our earlier post, here’s the Festival coupon that gets you $1 off! Plus it’s free admission for kids aged under twelve. The Rio Grande Arts and Crafts Festival will be in full swing over the weekend of October 8-10, 2010.

Over 280 artists and craftspeople from all over the country display their work, give demonstrations, and, of course, sell their arts and crafts. All kinds of creative arts are represented, from glassmaking to painting to pottery to jewelry and much more. Kids can enjoy the Kids Creation Station, where they create their own works of art, play in the sandbox, or enjoy a magic show — all for FREE! And, of course, there will be plenty of food vendors, offering everything from fajitas to gyros, and speciality food items to buy from the culinary booths – and plenty of free samples!

The Rio Grande Arts & Crafts Festival Coupon gives $1 off one admission or one pass – so you need a coupon for each person going to the show.

Other ways to save: Buy a $10.00 Festival Pass to cover the entire festival, or a $14 Grande Pass for unlimited admission to the October 2010, November 2010 and March 2011 festivals. If you plan to visit the next festival too, the Grande Pass looks like the best value, and the coupon can also be used for passes.

When: Friday to Sunday October 8-10, 2010
Times: Fridays and Sundays 9 am – 5 pm. Saturdays 9 am – 6 pm.

The Rio Grande Arts & Crafts Festival is located on the southwest corner of I-25 and Paseo del Norte, one exit south of the Balloon Fiesta launch site. You can’t miss it: the festival is housed in a gigantic tent that’s three stories high and longer than a football field. Parking is free.
