It wouldn’t be Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta without the Rio Grande Arts & Crafts Festival running over the two Balloon Fiesta weekends too!

Regular adult admission is $7, but here’s the Rio Grande Arts & Crafts Festival coupon that gets you $1 off. Plus it’s free admission for kids aged under twelve. The Rio Grande Arts and Crafts Festival will be in full swing over the weekends of September 30 – October 2,  and October 7 – 9, 2011.

More than 280 artists and craftspeople from all over the country display their work, give demonstrations, and, of course, sell their arts and crafts. All kinds of creative arts are represented, from glassmaking to painting to pottery to jewelry and much more. Kids can enjoy the Kids Creation Station, where they create their own works of art, play in the sandbox, or enjoy a magic show — all for FREE!

And, of course, there will be plenty of food vendors, offering everything from fajitas to gyros, and speciality food items to buy from the culinary booths – and plenty of free samples!

The Rio Grande Arts & Crafts Festival Coupon gives $1 off one admission or one pass – so you need a coupon for each person going to the show.

Other ways to save: Buy a $10 Festival Pass to cover the entire six days of this festival, or a $15 Grande Pass for unlimited admission to the October 2011, November 2011 and March 2012 festivals. If you plan to visit the next festival too, the Grande Pass looks like the best value, and the $1 off coupon can also be used for passes.

  • When: Friday to Sunday September 30 – October 2, and Friday to Sunday October 7 – 9, 2011
  • Times: Fridays and Sundays 9 am – 5 pm. Saturdays 9 am – 6 pm.

The Rio Grande Arts & Crafts Festival is located on the southwest corner of I-25 and Paseo del Norte, one exit south of the Balloon Fiesta launch site. You can’t miss it: the festival is housed in a gigantic tent that’s three stories high and longer than a football field. Parking is free.
