Summerfest Kicks Off Saturday June 12, 2010

Albuquerque Summerfest offers great free family entertainment on Saturday nights proving that Summertime fun doesn’t have to cost a fortune!

Summerfest is a multi-cultural extravaganza featuring free live music and dancing, and usually demonstrations on the stage, food and beer vendors, arts and crafts market, and lots of free kids’ activities, such as face painting, bounce houses, juggling, magic, and more.

In 2010, Summerfest will be held at different locations around Albuquerque,  from 7 pm to 10:30 pm on these dates:

June 12: Starring Ingram Hill, plus Native Roots, Salsa-Baby, Chris Kill Trio, David Kurtz. 
Location: Downtown. On Central Avenue between 2nd St. and 7th St.

June 26: Starring Sonya Kitchell, plus The Rudy Boy Experiment, Interplay School of Music, Asper Kourt, Susan Clark.
Location: ABQ Uptown. Louisiana Blvd. and Indian School Rd.

July 10: Featuring Tobias Rene, at the Downtown Harry E. Kinney Civic Plaza, on 3rd St. and Marquette.

July 24: Featuring Los Pleneros de la 21 (in partnership with the New Mexico Jazz Festival). In Nob Hill on Central Avenue between Girard and Washington.

Albuquerque Summerfest full line up and schedule is at the web site, and the concert events are free to the public.
