Who doesn’t love taking the kids to see a movie? If you missed our post on Regal Entertainment’s Summer Movie Express Family Film Festival 2012 when it first launched, here’s a reminder that you can take the kids to watch movies on the cheap, with tickets at $1 each!

In Albuquerque the movies run every Tuesday and Wednesday at 10 am until August 1, 2012, showing G and PG rated movies for a dollar a ticket.

The Summer Movie Express Family Film Festival has two participating Regal cinemas in Albuquerque: the Four Hills 10 and Cottonwood Stadium 16. See the complete schedule of free movies at the Albuquerque cinema locations at this link, as well as the schedule for Santa Fe.

Just pick up the $1 movie tickets at the box office window the morning of the show. Of course, seating is limited, based on the theatre’s capacity, and tickets are first-come, first-served.

Plan to stand in line for tickets, but it’s probably well worth the effort. And you can spend your saved dollars on popcorn! A portion of the $1 ticket fee will be donated to the Will Rogers Institute.

The Four Hills 10 is located at 13120A Central SE. The Cottonwood Mall Stadium 16 is at 10000 Coors Blvd NW .
