Free Week of Yoga Classes

National Yoga Month heads to the mat in September 2013, and new students at participating yoga studios get a week of free yoga in September or October with the Yoga Month Card.

National Yoga Month aims to educate us on the benefits of yoga and inspire everyone to live healthier, happier lives. Can’t argue with that, can you?

As part of the celebration, new students can get a free week of yoga classes with the Yoga Month Card, throughout September and October until October 30, 2013.

The card for a free week of yoga is for NEW students only, to give you a chance to try out yoga at participating studios. Our understanding from conversations with the yoga teachers in previous years is that ‘new student’ means new to a particular studio – you don’t have to be a beginner. But check in advance with your chosen studio with any questions.

Participating Albuquerque yoga studios at time of writing (more may be added) are:

  • Midtown Sports & Wellness (4100 Prospect NE)
  • Holistic Wellness Co-Op (1024 Eubank NE)
  • Albuquerque Ashtanga Yoga (206 Dartmouth Drive NE)
  • Kundun Yoga in Cedar Crest

Register for the Free Yoga Month Card, choose a studio, then print out the card. The offer is for one yoga card per person, and you can only choose one studio. You can’t change your selection later, so confirm any questions in advance with the studio to be certain you’ve picked the one you want.  It’s possible that more studios may join the program so you can always wait a few days if the ones listed aren’t so convenient for you.

Then use the card for a week’s worth of free lessons until October 30, 2013.

Sadly there don’t seem to be any other Albuquerque free yoga events this year – sometimes there have been special free classes. But perhaps some will come on board or let us know if they’ve got National Yoga Month specials on offer. If so, I’ll update.

Still, the luxury of a week of free yoga classes is rather fab. And if you’re going to do a sun salutation, what better place to do it than sunny Albuquerque?
