Free outdoor movies for all the family start Saturday June 4 through August 6.
City of Rio Rancho free outdoor movies this summer 2011 are shown on a super-size inflatable screen at dusk and all the movies are family-friendly. Movies are at different parks each time, and most are on Saturday, except the Monday July 4 movie. So grab your picnic, and a blanket or folding chair, and see what you want to see:
- June 4: The Wizard of Oz (rated G) at Cabezon Park starts 8 pm
- June 18: Grease (PG) at Zia Park starts 8 pm
- July 4: Megamind (PG) at Loma Colorado Park starts 6 pm with an interval to watch July 4 fireworks!
- July 16: How to Train Your Dragon (PG) at Cabezon Park starts 8 pm
- July 30: Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory at Mountain View Park. This is the old 1971 version of the movie, rated G, and it starts at 8 pm.
- August 6: Toy Story 3 (G) at Cabezon Park starts 8 pm
No alcohol is allowed and under 16′s must come with an adult.
