If you’re a Disney fan, you won’t want to miss this!

Disney is going all-out to promote their new holiday movie, “Disney’s A Christmas Carol,” with a 16,000-mile train tour. And the first stops are Santa Fe and Albuquerque! You can experience this extravaganza in ABQ on Friday, June 5, and Saturday, June 6 (2009), from 9:00am – 9:00pm each day and Sunday, June 7, from 10:00am – 6:00pm at the Downtown Albuquerque Rail Runner station.

Believe us when we say “extravaganza” is not an exaggeration.

The train will house “the first inflatable 3D theatre ever to go across the country,” in which visitors will get a sneak peek at the new movie. Plus, “four train cars will showcase immersive and interactive experiences,” such as:

  • A behind-the-scenes look at how the characters were created;
  • Exhibit of artifacts from the Charles Dickens museum in London; and
  • “Interactive kiosks where guests can explore Dickens’ London and morph their face into characters from the movie using HP TouchSmart PCs, and guests will receive an email with links to download their face morph images for free exclusively from Photo.”

Seriously, who else could pull this off except Disney? Oh, and did we mention the snow that is supposed to fly throughout the event? Now there’s some classic Disney magic, for you!

This event is free, open to the public, and approved for all ages.

The Downtown Rail Runner station is located at First St NW and Central Ave NW, Albuquerque.

Send us your photos from the event, and we’ll run them on the site!
