ABQ Trolley Ten Buck Tours
ABQ Trolley Co’s $10 tours run on the fourth Friday and second Sunday of the month through the rest of the 2010 season.
These Albuquerque tours used to be called the Fourth Friday Sunset Tour and the Second Sunday Family Tour. Now they’ve made it a lot easier to remember, by giving all these discounted Albuquerque trolley tours one name:
the Ten Buck Tour! (Ta da! Sometimes, the simplest solution is the best!)
Whatever you call them, the $10 tours offer more than a 50% discount on their usual adult ticket tour price.
As well as being budget-friendly, the Sunday tours seem especially family-friendly, and the Friday sunset tours more targeted to date night. They say the tour is geared towards Duke City residents, but visitors are welcome too – in fact, I reckon it could be even more fun to hang out with locals on the trip!
Times vary according to which Ten Buck Tour you choose, but the customized open-air trolley leaves Old Town and takes you through Downtown, along Route 66 through Nob Hill, and around Barelas, Tingley Beach and more. Along the way, the narrated tour includes fun Albuquerque trivia and prizes from local businesses.
These discounted $10 seats can sell out, so it’s wise to buy Ten Buck Tour tickets online in advance for the upcoming 2010 dates:
- September 12
- September 17
- October date to be decided, although I guess the Second Sunday and Fourth Friday will be where they usually are; but there may be seasonal changes for this month and around Balloon Fiesta. Check with their website nearer the time.
Speaking of Balloon Fiesta, tickets are still available NOW for the 2010 ABQ Trolley Glow Tours on October 8 and 9. Tickets cost $40 plus tax and the package includes admission to the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta and the Chasers’ Club hospitality tent, with food and beverages, and time to watch the balloon glow and fireworks before you leave.
ABQ Trolley Co. tours depart from Plaza San Luis in Old Town. The Balloon Fiesta tours depart from Albuquerque Convention Center.
