We’re delighted that Albuquerque on the Cheap has won the New Mexico Press Women 2011 award for a special interest blog. And what is our special interest? Saving money in the Duke City, that’s what. Living the high life for less!

We believe in enjoying all the good things the Duke City has to offer, but without busting the budget. We’re all about good value for money, from free events, fun things to do, restaurant deals, and Albuquerque entertainment on a shoestring, to a treat date night or family day out that doesn’t break the bank. Freebies, deals, steals, and special offers are our watchword.  (I suppose that’s at least four watchwords).

Thanks to New Mexico Press Women for the award to Mrs Cheap (aka me, Tania Casselle).  But of course, the best kudos still comes from readers – it’s great to receive your emails and comments on posts, and thanks to ABQ on the Cheap readers who voted us last year into the Top 5 Bloggers for Albuquerque The Magazine’s Best of the City Awards 2010.

Here’s how you can get in touch or pass on deals we report in editorial to your friends:

  • To share our deal posts with friends, use the share button at the bottom of every editorial post
  • To comment on a deal we’ve mentioned, leave a comment in the box below posts
  • To talk to us or send a tip of a deal you’ve spotted, email Albuquerque on the Cheap
  • To advertise in banner or text ads on the site, check out our info for advertisers

Meanwhile, we’ll do our best to keep you informed of bargains to s-t-r-e-t-c-h your dollars further, so locals and visitors to Albuquerque can enjoy even more fun on the cheap!
