If you’re interested in Mexican and New Mexican music, here’s a fun, FREE event for the whole family!

Sundays during November (2009), join noted musicians at the National Hispanic Cultural Center to learn traditional songs of New Mexico and Mexico. Each week, participants will learn the history, melody, and lyrics of two or three of the instructor’s favorite songs. Then, everyone will reconvene on December 6 to sing all of the songs they’ve learned!

Here are the dates, times, and instructors:

  • November 1, 3:00pm, with Roberto Mondragon
  • November 8, 3:00pm, with Otilio Ruiz
  • November 15, 3:00pm, with Leila Flores DueƱas and Carol Vigil

This event will be held each time in the Roy E. Disney Center for the Performing Arts Wells Fargo Auditorium.

The National Hispanic Cultural Center is located downtown at 1701 4th Street SW, Albuquerque.
