The Anderson-Abruzzo Albuquerque International Balloon Museum runs its free Stories in the Night Sky program this Thursday.

The next Balloon Museum Stories in the Night Sky session is on Thursday May 10 from 5:30 pm to 6:30 pm with stories and music. Kids, don’t tell anyone because this part is secret, so I’ll whisper it very quietly: you can also make something for your mom, grandma, or anyone else you’d like to send love to on Mother’s Day, May 13.

It’s a free event for all ages, and families are welcome to take a picnic to enjoy on the lawn before or after the stories – they’ll keep the grassy area open till 7:15.  Kids can also wear their PJ’s – super-cute for a pajama party!

If you miss that, the free Balloon Museum Stories in the Sky program takes place every Wednesday morning for kids aged 6 months to 6 years. There are two session times, from 9:30 to 10:15 am for the first session, and from 11 to 11:45 am for the second.

Admission to the museum during Stories in the Sky is free for both children and accompanying adults, and the fun for kids includes stories, songs, art, movement, and whatever else they might creatively think up each week, led by Curator of Education and storyteller, Laurie Magovern. You can hang out afterward to enjoy the whole museum — on the house!  That’s great for homeschoolers.

Anderson-Abruzzo Albuquerque International Balloon Museum is located at 9201 Balloon Museum NE.
