$1 Tickets to Family Movies

It’s movie madness this summer, with another cheap deal to take the kids to see family films in Cinemark’s Summer Movie Clubhouse.

In Albuquerque, Cinemark Movies 8 is participating in the Summer Movie Clubhouse promotion, which shows a different movie each week on Tuesday and Wednesday mornings through August 4, 2010, starting at 9:30 am.

Selected movies are all rated either G or PG, and all tickets – for parents or children – cost $1.

The $1 movie schedule:

  • June 8 and 9: The Tale of Despereaux
  • June 15 and 16: Kung Fu Panda
  • June 22 and 23: Monsters vs. Aliens
  • June 29 and 30: Madagascar
  • July 6 and 7: Madagascar 2
  • July 13 and 14: Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs
  • July 20 and 21: Planet 51
  • July 27 and 28: Paul Blart: Mall Cop
  • August 3 and 4: Surf’s Up

You CAN buy tickets online in advance, but then a $1 service fee is added to each ticket, which kinda defeats the object…

A limited number of $5 punch cards for the entire series may still be available (purchase from the box office only), but it’s a ‘while supplies last’ deal and as the season started last week they may be out already. (Sorry, we try to get the deals to you as fast as we can, but we do not have universal tentacles, nor an infinite number of hours in the day. Nice idea though, huh? If anyone has a coupon code for universal tentacles/infinite hours, zip me an email.)

***If you’d like to save even more, don’t forget our earlier post on the FREE family film festival this summer at Regal cinemas. Can’t get much cheaper than free.

You’ll find Cinemark Movies 8 at 4591 San Mateo Blvd NE.

Thanks to our beach-side friends at Florida on the Cheap for the Cinemark tip!
