If you’re a garlic lover, this is the event you’ve been waiting for! And, it’s all free.
The 2nd Annual South Valley Garlic Festival takes place Saturday, July 18 (2009), from 4:00pm until dark, at Chispas Farm. This “extremely informal event” features a potluck (bring your favorite garlic dish to share), garlic tasting, garlic digging, and a garlic braid demo. You might even win a prize for “tastiest dish,” “garlickiest dish,” or “best costume.” (Come dressed as a garlic braid?)
