Free Class: Natural Ways to Prevent and Treat Flu

Flu shots have become an autumn ritual in New Mexico, and this year’s no different, even though swine flu has been in the news since spring. And while immunizations against flu generally are considered safe and effective, there’s no denying that the flu vaccine isn’t as effective in some years (or against some flus) as it is in others.

If you’re thinking about hedging your bets when it comes to getting the flu this season, this free class by Dr. Vernon Redd should interest you.

On Thursday, August 20 (2009), at 6:00pm, Dr. Redd — a chiropractor and clinical nutritionist — will discuss natural ways to strengthen immunity, possibly avoid getting the flu, and treating flu and winter colds should you have the misfortune to come down with them.

Seating is limited for this free event, so you should register by calling 888-6138.

The presentation will be held at Dr. Redd’s Nutrition & Health Center, 10801 Lomas Blvd NE, Suite 100, Albuquerque.
