BURGERS AND BRATS FOR A BUCK

Sunflower Farmers Market is wowing us this month with their cheap eats. Both locations are hosting special fundraising events that feature grilled goodies for a mere Sacajawea. Or a Washington, how ever you want to look at it.

The Lomas location is hosting a pair of brats for a buck days:

  • Saturday, March 14, from noon to 4:00pm, buy a brat to help raise money for autism. Plus, Presbyterian Hospital will be selling fresh cut daffodils for their annual Daffodil Days.
  • Saturday, March 28, from noon to 4:00pm, the event helps raise money for Pilot Club of Los Lunas, which is devoted to preventing brain disorders. As an added incentive, you can enter a raffle to win one of two $25 Sunflower Market gift cards or a $50 card.

The Corrales Road location is hosting events on the same days:

  • Saturday, March 14, from noon to 4:00pm, buy a grilled Harris Ranch burger for a buck and support the APS education foundation and the public school lunch program.
  • Saturday, March 28, from noon to 4:00pm, buy a brat for a buck to benefit the medical fund of a Cibola High student who was severely beaten last September. If that’s not a great reason to get out for cheap eats, we don’t know what is.

Also, didja know SFM is opening a new store in the old Wild Oats location near San Mateo and Osuna? We can’t wait because…it’s close to Cheap Central (aka: our living room).
