If you’re passionate about the environment and water usage, you won’t want to miss this. The 2009 International Water Conservation and Xeriscape Conference takes place Thursday and Friday, February 26-27, at the Pyramid Marriott.

This conference features the biggest names in water conservation and ecology today:

  • Maude Barlow, Global Water Keynote speaker
  • Wes Jackson, Foodshed Keynote speaker
  • Roger Doiron, advocate for local and regional food systems
  • Doug Fine, author of Farewell, My Subaru

and many others.

This year’s conference focuses on the connection between watershed and foodshed. Thursday’s agenda focuses on the former, while Friday focuses on the latter.

The registration fee includes the two-day conference, all conference materials, lunches, coffee breaks and access to all exhibits. The full fee will be $225 (which, incidentally, is a bargain), but you can save $25 by registering before 2/20/09. That means you get it all for just $200.
