The free Teacher Open House is actually open to any educator, including home schoolers, of all grade levels.

The Teacher Open House is hosted by the New Mexico Museum of Natural History & Science, the Albuquerque Museum of Art and History, and Explora. All three will be open on the evening of Wednesday September 26, 2012, from 5:30 – 8 pm, especially for teachers.

Open House visitors can explore the exhibits for free, find out about programs for students, see exhibitor booths with free or cheap curriculum materials, and play at Explora.  The museums are also offering door prizes and discounts in the gift stores.

At the New Mexico Museum of Natural History & Science, they’ll have a free showing at the 3-D DynaTheater at 5:30 pm, and a free sampler showing in the Planetarium at 7 pm. The Observatory will be open for viewing from 7:30-8 pm.

This is a professional event so it’s not cool to turn up with families, sorry!

No reservations are needed for the Free Teacher Open House – just turn up on the night!
