Get in free to the Albuquerque Museum of Art and History until September 19, 2012.

The Albuquerque Museum of Art and History is offering free admissionto all, every day through Wednesday September 19. That’s because the museum is undergoing renovations. During the construction work two galleries will be closed, but you can still see the exhibits Common Ground: Art in New Mexico, and Albuquerque: Along the Rio Grande.

I didn’t check if the gift shop will remain open, but I hope so as it’s one of my fave places to pick up gorgeous gifts in Albuquerque. Seriously, the stuff here is beautiful and unique, and the prices very reasonable.

Note that the museum is closed on Mondays, but every other day you can trot along for free, until September 19.  The museum is open on Tuesday to Sunday from 9 am to 5 pm.

If you’re visiting Albuquerque, the Albuquerque Museum of Art and History is located at the corner of Mountain Road and 19th Street, in Albuquerque Old Town.
