It’s not often you can catch live theater in Albuquerque on a “pay what you can” basis, so don’t miss this opportunity!

Golda Meir was a common name in the news during the 1970s. Today’s youth and young adults, however, may have no idea who she was.

If you fall into that category, or even if you well remember the Israeli Prime Minister from her heyday, the play “Golda’s Balcony” will be well worth catching at the Vortex Theatre. Tickets are regularly $15 each, but you can attend a special “pay what you can” performance at 6:00pm on Sunday, May 17 (2009).

The play, written by Tony Award winner William Gibson, chronicles Golda’s personal and political lives as they become interwoven with the growth of the Israeli state.

To attend this special performance, you need to make a reservation via the Vortex website. We recommend doing so as early as possible, as this show undoubtedly will sell out!

The Vortex Theatre is located near UNM at 2004 1/2 Central Ave SE, Albuquerque.
