Johnny Alston, Native American flutist

Enjoy the improvisational style of Afro-Native American flutist Johnny Alston on Thursday, August 13 (2009), from 6:30 – 7:45pm. If you’ve never before experienced the haunting, peaceful sounds of Native American flute music, this free concert will be a great introduction to a uniquely American art form.

Alston will be performing original compositions from his new CD Between Two Worlds: A Collaboration of Native American Flute and Piano, which he recorded with Pittsburgh pianist Harry Clark. No doubt copies will be available for those interested.

The free Native American flute concert will be held in the Loma Colorado Main Library Auditorium. You must pick up a free ticket from the Adult Information Desk.

Loma Colorado Library is located at 755 Loma Colorado St NE, Rio Rancho.
