Albuquerque Summerfest offers great free family entertainment – and the Westside Summerfest is the last one for the 2012 season. They’re going out with a great line-up…

Albuquerque Westside Summerfest on Saturday August 18, 2012, from 6 pm to 10:30 pm at the Cottonwood Mall includes a free concert by The James Douglas Show.

As well as the free live music and dancing, expect local food vendors and a beer garden with Albuquerque microbreweries, an arts and crafts market from local artisans, and activities for kids and teens including face painting, BMX demonstrations, a rock-climbing wall, jumps, and balloon animals.

The Summerfest entertainment program on Saturday August 18 is:

  • 6 pm:  The Breaktone – winners of the 2010 New Mexico Music Award for Best Pop CD
  • 7 pm:  Aladocious – soul, funk and rock from the Albuquerque band
  • 8 pm: Alex Maryol – blues from Santa Fe
  • 9 pm: The James Douglas Show – the nationally touring band based in Albuquerque

And did we mention the concerts are all FREE?

Albuquerque Westside Summerfest takes place outside Cottonwood Mall on the north side, Coors Boulevard NW
