The 40th anniversary concert program includes Piazzola’s Le Grand Tango for Viola and Orchestra, Danzon No. 2 by Marquez, and de Falla’s Ritual Fire Dance. David Felberg conducts – he’s the assistant director of the UNM Symphony Orchestra and has performed with just about every New Mexico orchestra worth mentioning.

The free Albuquerque Philharmonic Orchestra concert takes place:

When:  Sunday May 6, 2012

Time:  2 pm – with the box office open for tickets from 1 pm

Where:  Albuquerque Journal Theatre at the National Hispanic Cultural Center

And thank you very much to the Albuquerque Philharmonic Orchestra for giving us the chance to hear such wonderful classical music – not even on the cheap, but totally free.  Although they do generally accept donations :-)
