Free Movie at the KiMo: December 19

The movie No Country for Old Men is the last in a series of free screenings at the KiMo Theatre, as part of the New Mexico Centennial Film Series.

The KiMo Theatre’s monthly film series puts the spotlight on movies featuring New Mexico, as we would expect in New Mexico centennial year. We are such a star-struck, star-spangled state, in every sense of the words.

No Country for Old Men is the free movie at the KiMo on Wednesday December 19 at 7 pm.  The 2007 Coen brothers movie is based on the novel by Cormac McCarthy and stars the always fabulous Tommy Lee Jones, along with Javier Bardem, Josh Brolin and Woody Harrelson.

The movie notched up four Oscars including Best Motion Picture of the Year, Best Adapted Screenplay, Best Achievement in Directing, and coolio Javier Bardem walked off with the Oscar for Best Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role.

No Country for Old Men is rated R and was filmed in New Mexico locations including Albuquerque, Santa Fe, and Las Vegas. Arrive early to nab a seat for the 7 pm start on December 19, 2012, and admission is free.  Take real cash for the Kimo Theatre concessions.
