Free Lunch Concert Downtown

Mark your calendar to leave your stuffy cubicle or office for a lunch of fresh air, sunshine, and free music this Thursday.

On May 21 (2009) at noon, park yourself and your brown bag at the corner of Second and Copper NW and enjoy a free performance by Eilen Jewell, compliments of the Downtown Action Team.

Jewell graduated from St. John’s College of Santa Fe and now lives in Boston, where she performs professionally with her band. Her music is part of a new, evolving genre of roots music that incorporates sounds of folk, country, and rockabilly — but also vintage R&B, early rock, and and Chicago blues. Should be a great concert!

Jewell’s performance launches “Out to Lunch,” a monthly concert series sponsored by the DAT. It’s their way of saying “thanks” to everyone who works downtown. The series continues the third Thursday of every month.

The concert will take place at First Plaza Galeria, Second & Copper NW, Albuquerque.
