Buying art on a budget? Here’s a chance to buy some beautiful art at $200, including works that could be worth much more!  Plus admission to a Tamarind Institute event.  Buy soon, there’s a limited quantity available.

This is such a great idea for a fundraiser. Tamarind Institute’s Win/Win Lottery works like this: One hundred tickets are sold to the Win/Win Lottery event on October 21, 2012.  Tickets cost $200 each, including admission and a lottery ticket. When you turn up to the event, you draw a number. The number drawn decides which order everyone gets to choose the work of art they want from the 100 pieces available.

Whatever number you draw, and whatever artwork you walk home with, you can’t lose. Works in this lottery can be valued from the hundreds into the thousands.  There are some great artists donating their art to the lottery, including Jim Dine, Hung Liu, Laurent DeBrunhoff, Jean Baptiste Apuatimi, Emmi Whitehorse, Roberto Juarez, Doug West, Nikolai L’Vovich Voronkov, Richard Hogan… and a lot more. See all the art prizes in the Tamarind Win/Win Lottery event.

The Win/Win Lottery event includes wine and hors d’ oeuvres.

  • When: Sunday October 21, 2012
  • Time: 5 – 7:30 pm
  • Where: Richard Levy Gallery, Downtown at 514 Central Avenue SW

Tickets have just gone on sale, but if art-lovers have any sense, they won’t be available for long.  Contact Tamarind Institute (505-277-3901) to buy lottery tickets.

If you just want to go to the Lottery event (without having an actual lottery ticket) it’s $50 for admission.
