Harwood Art Center cheap Culture Mapping workshops are even cheaper for a family of four…

The Harwood Art Center hosts these Cultural Urban Mapping workshops with ISEA 2012 Resident Artist Waheguru Khalsa on July 28 and August 4, from 10 am to noon each day. The cost is $5 per person or $15 for a family of four, and they request advance registrations.

Some of the art created in the workshops will be exhibited in the Harwood Gallery in September! Cultural Mapping offers artistic ways to share and represent oral histories, and the two events are:

  • Saturday July 28: Buried Under Dreams – a postcard project.
  • Saturday August 4: Conversations with Public Space – a modeling project making impressions of the landscape into a community mural, and making hand-painted signs.

See the full Harwood Art Center cultural mapping workshops info and details on how to register. The workshops are open to all ages but children aged under 14 must have an adult with them.

The Harwood Art Center is located at 1114 7th Street NW.
